Thanks in large part to funding from the Department of Public Instruction’s 21st Century Community Learning Center, Black Child Development Institute of Greensboro, Inc. is proud to offer some new opportunities for our afterschool programs!

This extended learning program will still have the BCDI-G foundation which focuses on literacy and is supplemented by enrichment activities, homework assistance, and the building of skills – all key to narrowing the academic achievement gap. Students will continue to work with our team to create an individualized plan for student success based but will also have new opportunities to build STEAM skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and will start on developing the leadership skills that will get them ready for careers in the 21st Century.

BCDI-G is currently offering FREE afterschool programs from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm at our Bridge Locations. 

Bridge at Presbyterian Church of the Cross will serve the following schools:
WE CURRENTLY HAVE A WAITLIST FOR THIS SITE
Bessemer Elementary – Student’s first day at Bridge at PCC will be September 5th
Falkener Elementary – Student’s first day at Bridge at PCC will be September 5th
Private and charter schools – Student’s first day at Bridge at PCC will be September 5th
Cone Elementary – Students first day at Bridge at PCC will be August 28th
*NOTE* Parents must complete a Guilford County Bus Transportation form requesting afternoon drop off at our location. Students will not be able to start until transportation is approved. Do not complete form until your afterschool applications has been approved. Transportation Form – Cick Here

Bridge at St. Paul Baptist will serve the following schools: Site will open September 5th

Bluford Elementary
Private and charter schools

Transportation:
BCDI-G will provide transportation from Guilford County Schools (with the exception of Cone Elementary) to our Bridge sites. Transportation from private and charter schools is not guaranteed and will be based on enrollment from those schools.
