The Black Child Development Institute of Greensboro’s extended learning program remains firmly rooted in our commitment to literacy, enriched with activities that promote academic growth, homework support, and essential skill-building—all vital in bridging the academic achievement gap. Our dedicated team, which includes certified Guilford County School teachers, collaborates with students to create personalized success plans. Additionally, students will explore new opportunities to enhance their STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) abilities and develop leadership skills, equipping them for thriving careers in the 21st Century.

BCDI-G is currently offering FREE afterschool programs from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the following location.

BCDI-G afterschool at St. Paul Baptist will serve the following schools: Transportation from school to site is provided
Gillespie Park Elementary
Bluford STEM Academy 

BCDI-G afterschool at Xperience @ Caldcleugh will serve the following schools: Site will open October 21st
Erwin Montessori 
Peck Elementary – Transportation is not provided from school to site

Transportation:
BCDI-G will provide transportation from Guilford County Schools to our sites as noted. Parents must pick students up by 6:00pm from the afterschool location.

Thanks in large part to funding from the Department of Public Instruction’s (DPI) 21st Century Community Learning Center, Black Child Development Institute of Greensboro, Inc. is proud to offer some new opportunities for our afterschool programs.
